Raytheon & Rafael Selected for Short-Range Ballistic Missile Defense Interceptor

In response to the increasing usage and threat of short range missiles and rockets the Israel Missile Defense Organization has contracted with Raytheon Company and Rafael Armament Development Authority to produce a system aimed at creating a defense against such missiles. The system will address the damages of unconventional weapons being attached to such missiles. Raytheon and Rafael aim to insure that their new defense system will be integrated into U.S. terminal missile defense systems.
